The article presents an argument against the construction of the Keystone XL extension of the Keystone Pipeline. It is said that the environmental costs of the petroleum pipeline expansion outweigh potential economic benefits for the U.S. The dangers of oil spills, especially in regards to the Ogallala Aquifer, are noted.
