A strategic document "Concept for Development of Libraries in the Czech Republic 2011-2015" was approved by the government on 11th January 2012. The main attention focuses on the use of information and communication technologies in the designing of new public services, so that anyone, no matter where they live, can access through their library all the resources, information and services offered by the system of libraries in the Czech Republic. This paper presents a SWOT analysis, vision, and twenty-one sub-priorities for the future development of libraries in the Czech Republic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Strategický dokument „Koncepce rozvoje knihoven v České republice na léta 2011 až 2015“ byl schválený vládou 11. 1. 2012. Hlavní pozornost je soustředěna na využití informačních a komunikačních technologií ke koncipování nových služeb veřejnosti tak, aby kdokoliv nezávisle na tom, kde žije, měl k dispozici prostřednictvím své knihovny přístup ke všem zdrojům, informacím a službám, které nabízí systém knihoven ČR. Příspěvek uvádí SWOT analýzu, vizi a 21 dílčích priorit pro budoucí rozvoj knihoven v ČR. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
