    • Abstract:
Radiation hazard of radionuclide has been calculated as a product of Ae where A is an activity of radionuclide and s is a dose coefficient through ingestion. The values Ae of 18 radionuclide in spent fuel of WWER-440 are calculated. Because the full division of americium and curium from HLW is very complicated a separation americium from curium is considered. It is shown that a separation of americium in a special fraction allows decreasing the radiation hazard of HLW by 97.6% after 1000 years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
