      The article reports that archaeologists studying materials from the site of Xianrendong Cave in the Jiangxi Province of southeastern China have dated what are thought to be the earliest pottery pieces ever made. Using radiocarbon dating, the pottery was found to date from 20,000 to 19,000 years ago.
