- Abstract:
The article focuses on the condition of the Pakistan press under dictatorship and the basic democratic system of President Ayub Khan. It says that according to Feldman, the Pakistani press has enjoyed a fair of measure of freedom that shows a degree of independence of attitude whenever it so desired. It states that when Khan assumed political power in Pakistan, he endeavored to renew a semblance of clarity in the confusion created by laws and regulations that applied to the press. It adds that from October 1958 to June 1962, press was the first victim of martial law.
