[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
- Abstract: This paper presents a description and preliminary analysis of some aspects of the implementation of an in-service teacher education proposal related to environmental education. The general teacher education proposal envisaged three lines of work simultaneously: 1) Characterization of current teaching practices in the natural sciences, 2) Development, implementation and analysis of innovative proposals, and 3) In-service teacher education process based on reflection about the practice. We socialize here the analytical categories resulting from the study of the participants' production in the workshop "Environment" and the systematization of the teacher education experience, as a contribution to the constitution of the field of Environmental Education. Reflective meta analysis on the concepts of environment contributed to the characterization and review of concepts related to the teaching of natural sciences. In addition, the collaborative process of reflection was an input for joint teacher education, providing tools to teachers which facilitated the objectification and characterization of one's gaze as a way to build critical teaching alternatives. Finally, we believe that we contributed to the construction of frameworks that would guide the development, implementation and analysis of aulic innovative proposals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
