An essay is presented in which the author reflects on the global order. He examines how political arrangements that protect commerce and avoid war sometimes cease, stating that revisionist regimes looking to upset established order are often responsible. Several forecasts are included for topics such as revolution in Iran, Greece's removal from the eurozone, and the reelection of U.S. President Barack Obama as the author examines how these would impact global order.
