- Abstract:
The article presents myths and facts about food. A "New York Times" article showed that women who are free of illness must not consume vitamin D and calcium-rich foods, which was refuted by U.S. Preventive Services Task Force that deficiencies in both nutrients can elevate risks of getting kidney stones. Another myth is that consuming less fiber diminishes appetite, which was refuted by Joanne Slavin through her study proving that not all types of fiber can affect appetite.
