      The article discusses the legal concept of libel tourism which deals with defamation lawsuits and forum shopping in relation to allegedly plaintiff-friendly foreign jurisdictions as of September 2012. Several legal cases are examined, including Bachchan v. India Abroad Publications which deals with a New York court's refusal to enforce an English libel judgment obtained by an Indian politician. The English Defamation Act of 1996 is also addressed.
