- Abstract:
The article focuses on the coronary heart disease (CHD) in men. It says that the death rate from CHD reduced by 59% from 1950 to 1999 in the U.S., but still remains the cause of mortality and morbidity, resulting in 1.5 million heart attacks in 2011. It mentions that a family, personal medical history and physical examination combined with laboratory determination of glycosylated hemoglobin and lipid levels can help for the assessment of risk factors of CHD in men.
