      The article provides a political outlook for Slovakia for 2012-2016. The country is governed by the centre-left party Direction-Social Democracy (Smer-SD) and Robert Fico is the prime minister. Throughout the forecast period, Slovakia is expected to be governed by Smer-SD. The next parliamentary election is scheduled in June 2016. Also noted is the commitment of Fico to uphold the euro, including the European Stability Mechanism (ESM).
