      This article is a synopsis of the panel discussion held in conjunction with the exhibit "Willy Brandt i Polska: Przezwyciężenie podziału Europy," which was organized on November 16, 2011, by the Instytut Zachodni, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Poland, and the Wyższa Szkoła Nauk Humanistycznych i Dziennikarstwa in Poznań, Poland (which hosted the exhibit). After a brief introduction by Dr. Michał Nowosielski, the director of the Instytut Zachodni and Knut Dethlefsen, the director of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation of Poland, the session was devoted to discussions on Willy Brandt and his ideas/conceptions with respect to Poland, Germany, and the unification in partnership of Europe.
