      This article reports on the implementation of 17 grooming regulation changes announced by the U.S. Army in 2012. According to senior leaders, soldiers will face punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice if they fail to follow. The changes cover rules for tattoos, cosmetics, cellular telephone use and civilian attire. Remarks from Sergeant Major Raymond Chandler regarding the opposition voiced by some soldiers to the changes are given.
