    • Abstract:
The article explores various efforts by education groups in America to pressure accreditors to consider the conditions faced by adjunct, or part-time, professors at two-year and four-year colleges as part of the accreditation process. Particular focus is given to the leadership role taken by University of Southern California associate professor Adrianna Kezar in such efforts and her work with the Delphi Project on the Changing Faculty and Student Success research project. Statistics related to the percentage of college classes taught by adjunct and tenure track professors are examined and issues related to higher educational quality are explored.
