      The article reports on the target of China for a refining capacity of 600 million metric ton (mt)/ year by 2015 under the country's 12th Five-Year plan which ends 2015. An estimate by China National Petroleum Corp. noted that China's total nameplate refinery capacity is expected to reach 587 million mt in 2012. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said the imbalance between demand and supply of refined products is expected to have been largely mitigated by the plan by 2015.
