      The article focuses on the issue and argument on the mandatory country of origin labeling (COOL) regulation, which is commonly implemented in the U.S. It states that Canada has initiated a complaint against the World Trade Organization (WTO) due to the possible ruling and changes of WTO on the COOL law. It also discusses the opposition of several COOL supporters, such as National Farmers Union, on the ruling and the aim of Canada to eliminate the segregation of both meat and livestock.
