      The article discusses the catholic churches and the faiths described in various Irish fictions during twentieth century. Many of the writers highlighted the more repressive aspects of the Irish Catholicism. Writers and poets including French poet Charles Baudelaire and Kate O'Brien are the ones who described the Catholicism in theirs poems and fictions.
