Information about the orthopaedic training methods discussed during the 2011 Orthopaedic Surgery Simulation Summit held in Rosemont, Illinois in November 2011 is presented. Topics include the development of cost-effective simulations for basic orthopaedic surgery skills, the Fundamentals of Arthroscopic Surgery Training (FAST) program, and the metrics for an arthroscopic Bankart procedure. The summit featured several orthopedists including Robert A. Pedowitz, Robert Hunter and Keith Nord.
