    • Abstract:
The article discusses the reasons for the poor sales at book stores selling Christian literature in the U.S. One of the reasons was the emergence of new chain book stores during the 1990s that stocked Christian books. The increasing digital music downloads also affected business in these stores. The CBA, which is the Association for Christian Retail, downsized its staff and other activities in 2009. Cliff Barrow, president of Family stores, discusses the challenges facing Christian retailers.
