- Abstract:
The article discusses a carbon nanotube light-absorbing device described by scientists and engineers at the U.S. National Aeronautics & Space Administration's (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center including John Hagopian, Stephanie Getty, and Manuel Quijada. The device uses carbon nanotubes grown on a substrate, adhesion layer, and iron catalyst and can be placed on telescopes, where it absorbs stray light and converts it to heat.
