Methodological challenges of register-based research.

The article discusses challenges of register-based research . It states that use of more administrative registers makes the process complex. In Europe, the increasing use of administrative data is one of the core transitions in funded research projects and the primary focus is no longer on questionnaire collected data. The size of errors in administrative registers depends on the control processes the administrative data holder executes, of both register keeper and registered.
