    • Abstract:
The author examines a study which determined the necessity of prostate surgery compared to endoscopic management of bladder lithiasis. Surgery is reportedly required to prevent the further formation of bladder stones. The author cites improvement between two patient groups using the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) which favored patients who underwent transurethral bladder stone removal and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) in one session.
