    • Abstract:
The article discusses the role of tight shales and unconventional resources in the world's natural gas outlook. It forecast that by 2035, shale gas can represent 62% of total gas produced in China, 50% in Australia and 42% in the U.S. It notes that the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) is tuning up its first international gas outlook model for the next annual energy outlook. It indicates that the time and extent of shale gas development will be determined by local conditions.
