- Abstract:
The article examines the interaction of the Christian, Norse, and Celtic metaphysical belief structures in Nancy Farmer's young-adult fantasy trilogy Saxon Saga "The Sea of Trolls," "The Land of the Silver Apples," and "The Island of the Blessed." It explores the value of its multicultural approach that demonstrates different metaphysical views and common core values. It argues that these belief structures are represented as alternative narrations of human spiritual reality with diverse beliefs.
