The article examines self-collected over physician-collected specimens in detecting pharyngeal Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG) infection among men who have sex with men (MSM). It says that, using nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT), self-sampling illustrates 96.6% agreement with clinician-collected specimen. It states that 92% of the participants are willing to self-collect a pharyngeal specimen at home.
