      The article considers the U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine from 1990 to 2011. The Orange Revolution in 2004 and 2005 was supported by officials of the U.S. The Overseas Private Investment Corp. (OPIC) has decided to reopen its programs to Ukraine in December 2009. The Aid for Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia account (AEECA) proposed by the administration of President Barack Obama for fiscal year (FY) 2012 includes improving the safety of the Chernobyl nuclear facility.
