Competition and Collaboration: An Academic Olympiad.

The article offers information on the first Olympiad held at Utah State University, Logan sponsored by the Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa of the University in response to requests from the Northern Utah Curriculum Consortium (NUCC). As stated, the goals of the Olympiad included conferring the visibility on scholarly performance through a competitive event, secondly to stimulate the academic efforts of high school students, and to recognize the scholarship of able students and the teachers. It also focused on promoting the cooperation between school district representatives and the university faculty members in the field of curriculum and instruction.
