- Abstract:
The article discusses the common complications resulting from primary and secondary blepharoplasty. It mentions that in the upper eyelid, the most usual complication is due to the removal of too much fat, resulting in an overly taut upper eyelid and result to a lagophthalmus. According to Dr. John B. Holds of Ophthalmic Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, complications in the lower eyelid is commonly due to too much removal of tissue and can happen after a classic lower blepharosplasty technique.
