    • Abstract:
The author examines how the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) impact jobs in the continent. AGOA has continued to reap support from American legislators for its cost-effectiveness and good policy sense. The author argues that the trade deal is facing benign neglect from Capitol Hill. He maintains that the stakes are high for countries, especially for Lesotho and its 40,000 citizens relying on the garment industry for work.
