    • Abstract:
      The article presents information on the people of Romania. It is said that almost 89% of the country's population belong to ethnic Romanians and that the Romanian language is related to French and Italian languages. Following World War II, the population of Romania's minority ethnic groups, which include Hungarians and Roma, was halved due to the loss of the border areas of Bessarabia and Bukovina. Religious affiliations in the country include Romanian Orthodox Church and Greek Catholic.
