      This article describes the destruction and aftermath of the April 2011 tornadoes that struck the southern U.S. The author depicts the character of the townspeople in the affected areas, asserting that faith allowed people to able to help one another, while referencing the arrival of volunteers from all over the country. The breaking down of barriers and development of unlikely friendships is also discussed.
