      The article a speech by Father John Meyendorff, chairman of the Faith and Order Commission (FOC) of the World Council of Churches, delivered at the meeting of the commission in August 1971 in Louvain, Belgium. Meyendorff spoke about his observations on the unity of the Church and the unity of mankind. He discussed what the conception of the communion with God implies based on the theocentric anthropology. He also explained the duties of the FOC.
