MEDICRIME: The international convention of the Council of Europe as a tool to combat counterfeit medicines.

The article discusses the MEDICRIME Convention, which emerged in the European Committee on Crime Problems (CDPC) in 2009 and considered as an instrument for harmonising national criminal legislation dealing with counterfeiting of medicinal products. It explores the 10 structures of the convention including substantive criminal law and measures for protection. It says that the failure to define the terms in the Convention limits the effectiveness and the scope of the aspects of the Convention.
