    • Abstract:
The article presents an argument on the economic policy made by Australian Prime Ministers Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd to trim down the budget gap. It argues the announcement of Gillard that her government has recorded an 80 billion dollars of savings over their budgets. It relates a huge budget deficit in 2009 under Rudd government. It emphasizes that Gillard and Rudd did not make a single policy decision that reduces the size of budget deficits.
