    • Abstract:
The article discusses the study of the South Equatorial Belt (SEB) on Jupiter, and what it tells scientists about climactic conditions on Jupiter. It states that in early 2010, this brown band had turned white, and scientists believe it will turn brown again. According to astronomers at the University of California Berkeley, the white portion alternates with brown because of temperature differentials on the planet. It is hoped that this information will help a future probes to the planet scheduled in 2016 and 2020.
