The article reports that a U.S. federal judge rejected the legal settlement of Google Inc. with groups of publishers and authors in the attempt of the company to create the biggest digital library through copyright. It states that Judge Denny Chin ruled such action because according to him, it would give Google de facto monopoly and gain profit from books without owners' permission. However, some those in higher education who are in favor of the agreement were disappointed by the decision.
