- Abstract:
This article discusses Netflix, a subscription service providing DVDs by mail and streaming video online, and its success despite predictions that it would do poorly. Netflix is a content aggregator, a company which compiles material made by other companies and sells it to customers. Netflix began only as a DVD-by-mail service but experienced accelerated growth when it added streaming video to its services and experiences little competition despite many similar services such as Amazon Prime.
