    • Abstract:
In this article the author discusses aspects of the report "Is Continuous Sedation at the End of Life an Ethically Preferable Alternative to Physician-Assisted Suicide?," by K. Raus and colleagues within the issue. He notes the use of results from related studies on palliative sedation by Raus and colleagues to argue that physician-assisted suicide (PAS) is preferable to continuous deep sedation (CDS) and discusses the differences between palliative sedation, PAS, and euthanasia.
