      The article focuses on the Mexican muralist, Arnold Belkin. Belkins' mural called the Los Prometeos (The Prometheans) adorn the exterior of the National Palace in Nicaragua which expresses injustice, freedom, and blood of heroes. He was born in Calgary, Canada and took art classes at the Vancouver School of Art and at the Banff School at Fine Arts. Belkin was noted to be captivated by Mexican murals that he pleaded his parents to sent him to Mexico where he became an apprentice to a Mexican muralist, David Alfaro Siquerios.
