    • Abstract:
The author reflects on a placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial (RCT) on the efficacy of propiverine, the most widely used anticholinergic in Japan, to treat overactive bladder (OAB). The author notes that while RCT asserted a superior efficacy of propiverine than placebo in terms of frequency, urgency, and voided volume, these might be were flawed trials in terms of propiverine-specificity. The author adds that propiverine might have different profiles compared with pure antimuscarinics.
