- Abstract:
The article focuses on the contribution of the editor George Rosen on the American public heath tradition. Rosen expresses his concern on the importance of public health tradition through the books he wrote including "A History of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in the United States, 1900-1975," and as an editor of the "American Journal of Public Health." It is stated that he devoted mostly of his editorials to outstanding health workers. Detailed information regarding Rosen's editorials as well as the significant participation of the American Public Association's presidents is discussed.
