      This is a synopsis of the conference "Przesiedleni-Wypędzeni: Polacy i Niemcy 1939-1945 w Kraju Warty," organized by the Instytut Zachodni, the Fundacja Współpracy Polsko-Niemieckiej, the Towarzystwo Niemiecko-Polskie w Berlinie, and the Stowarzyszenie Wolnego Słowa. It took place on November 18, 2010 in Poznań, Poland, and examined the history of the forced deportations of Poles and Germans from the Baltic States, Belarus and the Ukraine to Generalgouvernement Poland (and to the city of Poznań) during the Second World War.
