    • Abstract:
The differences or divergence of the philosophy of technology between engineering viewpoint and humanism viewpoint is mainly involved in three aspects: the ontology, epistemology and axiology of technology. It implies that the different philosophical studies on the ontology of technological innovation should be emphasized so as to integrate the technology philosophy in view of engineering with that in view of humanism. Taking the "empirical turn" and phenomenology as the main epistemological dimensions to reflect all sides of the technology, the technology should be described fully with the phenomenological norm applied to the study on the philosophy of technology, especially in the study on the subjects of philosophy of technology the education of "two different kinds of culture" should be stressed. All of the empirical or phenomenological routes mentioned above and their actual applications will hasten the integration of the two kinds of philosophy of technology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
