      A-59-year-old man, a known case of ischemic heart disease, attended Emergency Department with a chief complaint of abdominal pain. He was an ex-smoker and drank alcohol occasionally. In the abdominal computed tomography scan we noticed swelling of the pancreas and thrombosis in the portal and superior mesenteric vein and in the colour Doppler ultrasonography it showed more clearly.       İskunk kalp hastalığı olan, 59 yaşında bir erkek hasta Acil Bölümümüze karın ağrısı ile başvurmuştur. Daha önce sigara içmekte olduğunu, halen alkol kullandığını belirtmiştir. Batın bilgisayarlı tomografi sonuçlarının incelenmesinde pankreasta şişme görülmüş ve portal ve superior mezenterik vende tromboz saptanmıştır. Renkli Doppler ultrasonografi sonuçlarının incelenmesinde ise bu durum daha açık bir şekilde görülmüştür. Hastaya polisitemia vera teşhisi konulmuştur. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
