      The article discusses issues related to the adoption of Euro-6 emission control standards, which will come into force on December 31, 2013. It has been stated that Euro-6 mandates a 66% reduction in Particulate Matters (PM) and just over an 80% reduction in Nitrogen Oxides (NOx). It has been stated that implementation of Euro-6 will require a combination of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and a particulate trap in Chassis.
