    • Abstract:
Chapter 2 of the book "The A-Z Guide to Federal Employment Laws for the Small Business Owner," by Shannon Johnson is presented. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) passed by the U.S. Congress in 1967, was introduced in response to the setting of age limits for employment which made it difficult for older workers to retain their jobs. According to the ADEA, an employer should treat all the employees equally for promotion and training and the salary should be based on age.
