      The article discloses the pursuit of Harvey Machine towards public loans to enlarge aluminum production. U.S. Defense Production Agency tolerated Harvey to acquire the loan, although the U.S. Interior Department could not allow the deal unless the company settles the case on the power shortage in northwestern U.S. The department stated that Harvey must distribute 54,000 tons of aluminum to the U.S. government in order to resume the deal.
