      The article discusses "Mediatizaciones de la política y el arte. Entre los viejos y los nuevos medios," an interdisciplinary research project that studies the institutional aspects of artistic and political discourse, according to the theories of American philosopher Arthur C. Danto and Argentine semiologist Eliseo Verón. It shows how Danto and Verón have indicated that artistic and political discourses, respectively, emanate from and exist in theoretical bases as well as institutional and historical contexts. The article includes an analysis, by Dante, of art work by American artist Andy Warhol as well as an examination of political discourse in Latin America during the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
