      The article reports on a Stanford University graduate school laboratory production that has developed a shell-molding machine in 1953. It is reported that industry has shown interest in the project that the students and their professor have organized a company to handle the unit. Shell molding reportedly saves steps required by the old method of making molds for metal casting by packing sand around a wooden pattern. As such, the group its first contract-built production models.
