An interview with Kevin Mafrici, an aircraft engineer who owns a 1998 Corvette coupe in Chipping North, Australia, is presented. He claims that he started making cosmetic car upgrades and light modifications in 2002. He notes that he sent his Corvette to Advanced Airbrusing in Penrith where he came up with the idea of the U.S. flag. He cites other engine modifications done in the vehicle in 2005 such as the addition of Holley/John Ligenfelter Series polished electronic fuel injection (EFI) manifold.
